Canon announces AirPrint support in PIXMA range
You can now print wirelessly from your iOS device to selected Canon PIXMA all-in-one inkjet printers, Canon has announced.
AirPrint will initially be supported by three recently-launched models from the Canon PIXMA line-up, the PIXMA MG8250, MG6250 and MG5350.
In the future, Canon plans to include AirPrint support in the “majority” of new PIXMA models, the company said.
The PIXMA MG8250 (pictured) is available for £299 from Amazon.co.uk, the MG6250 for £149 and the MG5350 for £106.
You’ll need a compatible iOS device running iOS 4.2 or later – supported models are the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod touch 3rd generation and later.
Samsung recently announced support for AirPrint in two of its new printers, and HP has a number of AirPrint-compatible models, which are listed on Apple’s website.
