Metal Gear Solid series fans are waiting for just one announcement from Hideo Kojima and Konami, the exact release date of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but it seems like they have to wait a bit more to hear it. According to Kojima Productions’s Kenichiro Imaizumi, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain release date announcement is not yet ready.

When a fan on Twitter asked Kenichiro: “should I stay up to until 5AM Wednesday night Thursday morningwatch the Japanese Kojima Station?” Kenichiro replied:

“If you’re expecting release day, please go to bed. I would utilize multi language media when I make a big announcement.”

When another user chipped in an said that the wait for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain release date is Killing him, Kenichiro replied that, right now, Hideo Kojima and others are working to improve the quality of The Phantom.

“Sorry but Hideo and KJP are working very hard to make it better quality everyday and night. It’s not just ready to announce yet.”

The wait is indeed killing, but Metal Gear Solid fans will be happy to know that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is “Absolutely Massive, Skyrim Looks Like An Afternoon Playpen Next To It“, according to Troy Baker, Voice Actor behind Ocelot.
