PSN Remains Down/Offline For Third Day In A Row, Xbox Live Back Online, Sony says: “No ETA Available Yet”: Updated: PSN Back Online
Recently, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live went OFFLINE/DOWN all thanks to DDoS attack from notorious hacker group Lizard Squad. The outage started on Christmas Eve and sadly for the gaming community the Downtime was extended on Christmas Day, Sony and Microsoft were unable to find solution to bring the service back Online.
Lizard Squad has stopped the DDos attack on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live after a deal with DotCom (founder of MegaUpload), and immediately after this Microsoft managed to bring Xbox Live service back ONLINE but Sony is still far behind and PSN is still OFFLINE, and the worst part is, there is no ETA from Sony as to when players will be able connect and play online.
According to update provided by Sony via AskPlayStation Twitter: “No ETA available yet, but our Team is working to fix it as soon as possible, thank you for your patience.”

Does this mean, Xbox Live service infrastructure is much better than PlayStation Network? After recent outage, the picture is clear.
According to details coming out from PlayStation 4 owners on PS4 sub reddit, PlayStation Network is Online for most of them and they are able to Sign-In, Friend List working and most of the other features. To Connect to PSN, RESTART PS4.
