Error 3102 Hits Final Fantasy XIV Beta, Square Enix extends Beta Period As Compensation

Square Enix has just announced extension of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn beta for gamers in North America and Europe. This announcement came after the beta was hit by a nasty Error 3102 disallowing players from playing the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn beta.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm RebornSquare Enix has promised to fix the error within an hour or so and as a compensation package has extended the beta period. Square-Enix issued this following statement just a few minutes ago:

Thank you very much for your participation in the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Test.

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with Worlds hosted on the North American and European datacenter which is preventing certain characters from logging into the game.

An emergency maintenance, taking place between Aug. 18, 2013 9:30 p.m. to Aug. 19, 2013 12:30 a.m. (PDT), is currently underway to address characters experiencing this issue.

Phase 4 of the Beta Test was originally scheduled to conclude on Aug. 19, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT). However, given the fact that affected characters are numbering in the tens of thousands and the time it will take to address the situation including the time required for the emergency maintenance, we will be extending the Beta Test until Aug. 19, 2013 8:00 a.m. (PDT) for Worlds hosted on the North American and European datacenter.

We hope for your continued participation in the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Test.

The Beta Test will end as scheduled on Aug. 19, 2013 2:00 a.m. (PDT) for Worlds hosted on the Japanese datacenter.

@[email protected] I&1quo;ve played Shaiya for about 4 yea1,and when I fi1t started playing the pvp system was great. I was unmatchable in pvp until the release of lapisias/lapisia1. From there on it&1quo;s like you have to pay $$ to even pvp nowadays. I will agree though,Shaiya is one of the best MMORPGs I have yet to find. I will also agree on the payment of buying rez runes to keep your best character alive is just ridiculous.. Maybe when Aeria can make a game where you don&1quo;t have to pay to be the best maybe then I might just join back up,but until then I have quit!

Yep, no shenaniga1 going on in these polls at all…
One poll that has one game winning by 85+% has more votes than all the other polls combined & has 3x more votes than it&1quo;s next closes poll. Move along, nothing to see here.

It took this long because they were trying to give Wildstar a chance in NA and EU. Notice how Wildstar F2P was announced almost the same time the BnS “Western” release was. That wasn&1quo;t a coincidence.
Of cou1e I&1quo;m not giving them an excuse. They teased everyone for far too long, and everyone has suffered for it. That said, I&1quo;m also going to still play the [email protected] out of it.
