Nemo torpedoes video-sales record
Apple Chief executive officer Steve Jobs’ “other company”, Pixar, has damaged the record for video sales using its new Disney-printed Finding Nemo title.
The DVD has moved fast: 20 million DVD/VHS models have offered within the first fourteen days from the movie’s United States release.
Jobs, who’s also Chief executive officer of Pixar, stated: “Pixar’s creative team flows their hearts into allowing the industry’s best DVDs for the films, which means this resounding success is particularly satisfying. We are thrilled beyond words.”
Wally Disney Chief executive officer and chariman Michael Eisner stated: “The house entertainment success of flicks like ‘Finding Nemo’ proves the consumer’s enjoyment in our qualities continues beyond the theatrical release, which these long lasting films give a strong, sustained revenue stream for the organization.”
